DAY 01:  ARRIVE IN DAR ES SALAAM – RAS KUTANI
Welcome to Dar es Salaam!  And after a busy wedding, start your honeymoon promptly with a short 25km journey to Ras Kutani, our slice of paradise on the Swahili Coast. There is a choice of a simple 10 min flight from the domestic terminal to our private airstrip or a fascinating 90 mins drive through the outskirts of active Dar es Salaam on roads lined with mango and coconut trees down to the haven of Ras Kutani.

DAYS 02 – 04:  RAS KUTANI, SWAHILI COAST
Truly relax your body after a long flight by indulging in a massage, facial or beauty treatments available with our onsite spa therapist and acclimatize to Tanzanian living with effortless days under our beach sunshades.  For couples more interested in ocean sports, explore our shipwreck just off our shores by snorkeling or kayaking in the lagoon.  Snorkel equipment, boogie boards and kayaks are all freely available for guests to use.  While reclining with your new spouse, enjoy cocktails and sunsets at beach bar, followed by romantic dinners in unique locations.

DAY 05: RAS KUTANI, SWAHILI COAST – SIWANDU, SELOUS GAME RESERVE
Now you are truly relaxed after four luxurious days soaking up the sun, enjoying each other’s company and sliding into your holiday, it is time to start the safari portion of your honeymoon.  After breakfast travel to Dar es Salaam by air or road and board the 45 mins scheduled flight to Siwandu airstrip in Selous Game Reserve.  Here you will be met by our driver guide and have the opportunity to enjoy your first game drive on the way back to camp, where you will arrive in time to freshen up, unpack and meet for lunch.
After lunch and a rest, there will be the opportunity to choose your first activity and begin to explore the Reserve, returning in time for sunset and dinner.

DAY 06–07:  SIWANDU, SELOUS GAME RESERVE
An early morning tea or coffee will be served in your luxury tent before breakfast and heading out, with a choice of activities; boat cruise on River Rufiji, Game walk, or game drive in an open jeep vehicle.
Return to camp for a splendid lunch, then a difficult decision between a siesta or a dip in the swimming pool whilst waiting for the heat of the day to subside.  Mid afternoon meet for a cup of tea or cooling lemonade and delicious cakes before moving onto your second safari of the day – slowly bendy along the Rufiji River or perhaps tracking a leopard and her cub through the woodland.

DAY 08:   SELOUS GAME RESERVE – RUAHA NATIONAL PARK
Depart Siwandu after breakfast for your flight to Ruaha National Park at 9.15am. Fly through the clouds looking over awe-inspiring topography including baobab valleys, dramatic gorges and mountain ranges.  Fly by the Great Ruaha River and land at Jongomero airstrip at 11am.
After afternoon tea, set out on a game drive in our open-sided vehicle, following the course of the Great Ruaha River in search of wildlife.  Perhaps find elephants digging for water in the dry river bed, or catch a rare sighting of the African Wild Dog. As the sun sets, stop to appreciate the scenery and sip on a sundowner, before heading back to camp for hot showers and convivial drinks before dinner, discussing the day’s events and swapping safari stories.
DAY 09 – 10:  RUAHA NATIONAL PARK
Wake up to early morning tea or coffee in your luxury tent and look forward to another wonderful day exploring Ruaha National Park.
Walking Safaris in Ruaha, the authentic African experience.  Arrive at the exclusive wilderness camp either by road or by foot and settle in with a hot bucket showers, before meeting around the camp fire for a sundowner and dinner.  After sampling our bush cuisine, sleep under the stars of a small dome star gazer tent with a basin and hand towel outside.  Each day walkout into this remote wilderness with practiced guides and drink in Ruaha’s wonderful exclusivity and plethora of flora and fauna.

DAY 11: SELOUS GAME RESERVE TO DAR ES SALAAM
Soak up the last morning of bush luxury with a piping hot breakfast at camp and a final safari activity before lunch and the inevitable goodbyes to the Jongomero Family.  Fly back to Dar es Salaam on the 2pm flight, landing at approximately 3.15pm and either hop on your connecting international flight; or travel onto an island destination and experience some of the amazing diving and marine activities East Africa has on offer; or travel into town and enjoy some souvenir shopping at markets and reflect on your honeymoon with a lovely dinner and a lifetime of wonderful memories of your time in southern Tanzania.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
An African safari is an authentic adventure. For certain parts of this safari, expect driving on dirty road which may be bumpy and dusty here and there to make your safari really an African experience. However, our safari vehicles are designed to make your safari comfortable under difficult terrains. So, any person with physical fitness to sit on a safari vehicle is fit for this safari.
