Types of Safari and Tour Packages
Across Africa Nature provides the following types of safari tours:- ecological tours, cultural tours, Honeymoon tour, Family tour, Voluntourism and Photographic tour. Depending on the tourist interest, we are dedicated and committed to coordinate any of the above types of safari tours either in luxury, standard or budget safari excursions in the following areas:-
- “Wildlife Viewing and Mountain Trekking”-Ecological Tour: This will be a professionally guided tour in the national parks, mountain climbing (e.g. Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru) and also beach tourism in Zanzibar. These tours shall be lifetime experience in terms of wildlife viewing/photographic safaris of wild animals in their natural environment providing knowledge and information throughout the guided tour. Others include biking, bird watching, hiking, scuba diving and a variety of adventure travel activities. Included in this package will be refreshments and information folders detailing the main sites and parks.
- “Cultural Enrichment” – Cultural and Historical Sites Tour: This shall involve tours to the main historical and cultural sites round Tanzania including the cultural dances. This tour shall reveal Tanzania people, among the best known of which are the Maasai-cultural villages who continue to tend their livestock in the national parks. Other world renowned cultural attractions include Stone Town in Zanzibar also known as spice island; Bagamoyo where David Livingstone’s body lay before being transported to Scotland; and Ujiji, near Kigoma, where Stanley and Livingstone met in 1871. Kilwa, a small coastal town about halfway between Dar es Salaam and the border with Mozambique, is the springboard for the island of Kilwa Kisiwani, which was once East Africa’s most important trading center. The Kilwa ruins are among the best examples of Swahili architecture and the marine setting is beautiful. The Olduvai Gorge, northwest of the Ngorongoro Crater, has provided significant fossils (some discovered by the Leakeys) The terms are used interchangeably related to early hominids and apes, as well as hominid footprints at Laetoli estimated to be 3.7 million years old. Stone age ruins at Isimilia, near Iringa in Ruaha are one of Africa’s most important historical sites. Rock paintings are found, among other places, near Tarangire, where the Barabaig tribe’s ancient Kolo rock paintings are. The tour package will include an information folder, guided tour and refreshments.
- “The Essence: Past & Present” – City & Cultural Tour: This will be a combination of the cultural tour and city centre excursion. This will be marketed as a “total package” enabling tourists with very little time to appreciate the Tanzania lifestyle, both in the present and past. This tour will invariably take the whole day. The tour package will include the information folder, guided tour, refreshments and a picnic lunch.
